COMMUNITY x LATE NIGHT AUDIO x THE COSMIC TRUTH

For the very first Community session on Saturday 14th August, we’ve invited Danny Clark & Toby Tobias from Late Night Audio and The Cosmic Truth boys, Nicholas Balfe and Dickie Chaytor, to party all night long in a special preview of whats to come here at Plan Brixton in September.

LNA has gone from strength to strength following their hot parties and a number of prominent releases – check out the latest EP from Toby (the Macasu EP) which includes a remix on the flip from Motor City Drum Ensemble.

Saturdays will, from September, be a gathering for innovative plus retrospective forms of house, techno, disco and other electronics …

Danny & Toby lived in Brixton for many years before heading East.

DBRIDGE x INSTRA:MENTAL

DBridge track – ‘Blush Response’ featuring Instra:mental has become something of a summer anthem for the last two years, after being released on his stunning debut album – The Gemini Principle in June 2008 for Exit Records.

This timeless beauty, devoid of genre, should put Instra:mental and DBridge’s Autonomic label and pristine production ethics high on any music lovers scale.

Autonomic podcasts available here.

JAMIE JONES

The good times continue for Jamie Jones with his latest remix on London based label Murmur doing the rounds this summer.

Add to that a residency alongside techno’s other golden boy Seth Troxler at Circoloco this year and a global tour calender and you’ve got a lot to be jealous of.

Take a listen to the release here and catch Jamie at Community on Saturday 6th November at Plan B.

QUEST x DEEP MEDI

‘Smooth Skin’ by Quest just dropped on Mala’s Deep Medi Musik label.

The track is a departure from his forward thinking dubstep style, which he has perfected with production partner Silkie.

Quest plays Deviation on Wednesday 4th August. He shares the bill with Actress and Benji B.

DOLDRUMS

We are hearing rumours that Joy Orbison’s imprint Doldrums may be preparing a new twelve inch for release after the Summer.

The label has had a limited output since it’s inception in 2009, but has been hugely influential within the dubstep scene (and beyond).

The label is run from an office just up the road in Brixton.

Watch this space for more information.

ACTRESS x HONEST JON’S

‘Splazsh’  is the highly anticipated long player from Brixton based electronica producer and Werk Discs boss Actress.

Check out the whole album courtesy of Resident Advisor

Actress played at Plan B as part of the Feeding Werk night (a collaboration between Werk Discs and East London’s Feeding Time) a few months back, with support from A Guy Called Gerald, Lone and Lukid.

RODIGAN x BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Line-ups for the August bank holiday weekend are pretty much confirmed…

Very special secret guest on the Sunday to be announced nearer the time.

We are really excited about David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan’s set on the Sunday. Check the interview he did for the Mad Decent podcast series if you don’t already know.

SWAMP 81

DMZ founder Loefah’s Swamp 81 label has been redefining the sound of dubstep for the last few months.

With releases from the likes of Addison Groove and Ramadanman, he is helping push the sound forward, away from the sausage step so many imitators seem to be banging out.

Rumour has it he is also working on a new project with Oneman.

Been in talks for a while now about a Swamp 81 party at Plan B. Hopefully we will have something to tell you soon.

PATRICE SCOTT (DETROIT) x THE SECRET AGENCY

We are getting ready for this weekend’s Secret Agency party in the office…

Patrice Scott flys in from Detroit on Saturday morning to headline the show.

His most recent Soundcloud mix is here

And don’t forget about the recent Plan B podcast mixed by Flori who is supporting Patrice (alongside James Priestley and Giles Smith).

FLOATING POINTS

His set in the basement at the Doldrums party back in June was incredible.

We are looking forward to seeing him again for the launch of new weekly house / techno night Community, supporting Detroit legend Moodymann, on Saturday 18th September 2010.
