We were blown away when we saw Todd Terje play at the Red Bull Music Academy edition of Secretsundaze earlier in the year. This was partly due to the party being held at Paramount,  which is set on the 32nd floor of the Centre Point building on Tottenham Court Road, but also because the Norwegian disco boy wonder played an absoulute belter of a set.

Red Bull took the time to record the set (which from our recent experiences isn’t always the most straight forward thing to get right) and have made it available here.

Advance tickets for Todd Terje’s show at Plan B can be found here.

Late night web trawling lost our boy Ben a lot of sleep but he did manage to unearth this gem of a Soundcloud account. Featuring over 150 pages of set rips from all your favourite DJs this is essential listening. Everything from Larry Levan at Ministry of Sound in ’91 to Ben Klock at Berghain the other day.

For the very first Community session on Saturday 14th August, we’ve invited Danny Clark & Toby Tobias from Late Night Audio and The Cosmic Truth boys, Nicholas Balfe and Dickie Chaytor, to party all night long in a special preview of whats to come here at Plan Brixton in September.

LNA has gone from strength to strength following their hot parties and a number of prominent releases – check out the latest EP from Toby (the Macasu EP) which includes a remix on the flip from Motor City Drum Ensemble.

Saturdays will, from September, be a gathering for innovative plus retrospective forms of house, techno, disco and other electronics …

Danny & Toby lived in Brixton for many years before heading East.

Disco 3000 (Erol Alkan) + friends

After the show it’s the after party…

Many thanks to Erol Alkan, Rory Phillips, Soulwax (who did a great job on the lasers), Chandra and the Durrr girls, and, of course, LCD Soundsystem.

Disaster averted the next day when James Muphy’s laptop turned up in lost property!

Special times.
